Mastitis

I've had mastitis since about Friday but couldn't get in to the doc and get my prescription until Tuesday.  I have taken one full day of the meds and now my breast is red.  I have been massaging it and using the hot compress/hot showers, but I'm not having any relief.  At first it helped if LO nursed, but now it's extremely painful.  I just need to have this gone, because it's super discouraging and it's been a rough few weeks (LO was diagnosed with reflux too, fun).  So my question is, after you started meds, how long until you felt some relief?? I never had this issue with DS #1.
