Mid-Afternoon feeding & crying

I am EBFing LO.  Usually he nurses in the am, gets 3 5-6 oz bottles at school, comfort nurses at 5:30 eats a veggie and nurses at bedtime around 8.  During the week night we dont have any problems. 

During the two afternoon feedings (nursing) on the weekends he eats for about 2 minutes unlatches and cries.  Relatches unlatches and cries through out the entire meal.  He is still eating every 3 hours.  Is he not hungry? Is he not happy with the amount of milk available during this time? I have no idea what to do.
