I was reading someone's post earlier [pegleg's maybe] and she talked about her LO only taking two naps during the day. I was amazed because my LO definitely has more naps than that... So I went and refound the paperwork given to me by the hospital regarding sleeping etc.
It says baby 3 to 6 months, should sleep 8 to 10 hours overnight, then have two or three 1.5 to 2 hour naps per day and being awake 2 to 2.5 hours in between.
Um I'm getting something more like 5 half hour naps a day, with about 8 hours overnight. LO has been consistently waking after around 30 minutes of nap almost every time I put him down unless I wear him, or sometimes in the car.
So how do I encourage longer naps? I could probably stretch them to an hour [if he stayed asleep] as he no longer seems to need to feed immediately upon waking... But I still need him to stay down that extra sleep cycle or two... And how the heck do you do that??
Any suggestions ladies?
