AW: BFing early success

Sorry, I just had a proud mama moment and had to share... 

DD is 12 days old, and was 5lb 10oz at birth, and 5lb 5oz at 1 week. Doctors have been monitoring her weight and we found out today that since her 1 week appointment (5 days ago) she has gained 10 ounces and currently weighs 5lb 15oz! Sooo proud of my little nugget (and my boobs, haha) for showing signs of success with this whole BFing thing.

We're less than 2 weeks in, but this gives me the motivation I need to keep it up. Breastfeeding seems like it should be such an easy and natural thing, but no one ever tells you how hard it is, especially at the beginning (or if I was warned, I didn't fully believe it!). The tears, the frustration, the doubt, the sore nips, the sleep deprivation.... it's all worth it for her. )
