Am I the only one who doesn't swaddle?

LO has hated being swaddled from the beginning. Not in a "all babies hate swaddling but they actually love it" way. He would keep himself awake trying to get free, and cry nonstop if he couldn't get out. Once he hit 2 months I couldn't swaddle him if my life depended on it - he was too strong. He sleeps much better unswaddled and likes to roll onto his side and suck his thumb. 

Did anyone else give up on swaddling early?
