Flu shot

Did you get a flu shot to protect LO? DH got one and I want to get one as well, but last year I got SO sick afterwards. Like fever, aches, confined to bed sick. I've been told that since its a dead virus, you can't get sick from it, but it definitely threw my body for a loop [it was my first time getting it]. I'm going to have to get it on a Friday so I have DH around and the weekend to recover. I come into contact with a lot of people at my work and I'd feel terrible if I passed something to K.

Anyway, just wondering what your thoughts/plans are and not trying to start a vaccinationsesque debate.
