I know we've posted before on the dumbest advice we've gotten from people, but I got one from my own mother the other night that just about floored me. She and my dad raised 4 kids on a seriously limited income, and we all turned out fine, so I have a lot of respect for her parenting perspective and advice.
That said, a few nights ago, when I mentioned DS was teething, and I was giving him a small dose of tylenol to help him sleep, since his gums were bothering him so much he'd wake up, she told me I didn't have to do that. Just get a little tylenol and rub it on his gums. That would take care of it. (You know, since tylenol isn't meant to be ingested and is a contact pain reliever )
Anyone else have advice that you're not sure where it came from?
