Cluster feeding and switching sides

Sometimes LO 6 weeks old will eat for an hour and go 4 hours between feedings. Other times, he will eat for 20 minutes, take a 10 minute break, and repeat, for 4 hours. When he is doing the latter, how often should I switch sides? I want to make sure he is getting enough hind milk. Thanks!
