vaginitis anyone?

I am 6 weeks pp. At 3 weeks I thought I had a yeast infection and was told by my doctor to treat it with monistat. It got better for a little while but I feel that I still haven't been completely healed. I've had redness and irritation along with some itchiness in the Vulva area. There is no odor but some white discharge sorry for the tmi!. I looked online and saw that it could be vaginitis due to low estrogen levels...a result of breastfeeding. Another symptom is dryness, which I think I have. I had labial tears which I think are healed, but I have been super uncomfortable because of this. Anyone else have this? What did you do to treat it?
