Medela Freestyle?

Does the Freestyle have an automatic shut off after 30 mins? I pumped for 31:28 total and the pump shut off. I had hit the letdown button at 1:28. Also how long till I can use the pump on battery? The pump has been plugged in with the battery in it for a week non stop and it still won't work when I unplug and try to use it on battery alone. I do use the pump every 2-3 hrs throughout the day.

I tried to find my booklet that came with the pump, but couldn't.
