Pulling and tugging on nipple

Hi everyone,

The past couple of days my baby (1 week old) has been tugging and pulling on my nipple, but only on my left breast (she doesn't do this on my right breast). She seems content and gets enough milk from both breasts (or so I believe!), so I'm not really sure why she is doing this, or what I can do to help her. Anyone else experience this or know what I can do to help with this...it's painful!
