Bitten with Teeth

I know most of the women here have younger babies, but I'm still breastfeeding my 8 1/2 month old.  The other day, he bit me with his 2 lower teeth.  I'm doing the best I can to keep lanolin on it and keep it off my bra.  I even busted out the nipple shields I used in the beginning.  But I'm to the point where I'm in tears every time DS feeds on that side.  I don't have a letdown for the pump, so keeping him off that side isn't an option.  It's looking pretty roughed up despite my best efforts to help it heal.

When should I be concerned about an infection?  I don't want to wean because of this as BM is still his main source of nutrition.  But I really need some relief.  Is there anything else I can do to heal bite wounds?
