thinking about delivery & switching doctors?

I know it's probably really early for this but I'm wondering if anyone has thought about the delivery. I was reading an article about deciding between using a midwife or doctor. Based on what I read, it seems like a midwife is more of what I'm looking for. I really like my doctor and have been going to her for years but only for routine checkups. I have no idea how she is when it comes to delivery and what she and the other doctors can provide.

I have an appointment with my doctor next week. Do you think it's too early to discuss these things with her? I'm wondering anyone has talked to their doctor this early about their delivery.
