Nursing during thrush

How in the world do you nurse while baby has thrush?! DS was diagnosed on Thursday and was given Nystatin. The last couple days he has been constantly pulling off, sometimes taking my nipple with him , and when he is latched, it's not a great one. He's getting frustrated and so am I. I think I'm also having vasospasms as a result. Any tips? He does eventually act satisfied but he's nursing more frequently. I've considered just pumping until we are past this, but I hate to do that... How long should it take the. Nystatin to work if it's going to?? I can still see thrush on his tongue, and he started the meds Thursday.
