Spotting at 7 weeks

Good Morning Ladies,

I am almost 8 weeks and yesterday I went to the restroom and when I wiped there was a pinkish substance on the TP ,so I wiped again to make sure I was not seeing things and this time I seen more pink. I called my doctor and she said not to worry because this could be just old blood and for me to rest with my feet up, later that day the spotting was gone and now I am confused as to what this was or could  be? I had a m/c in June so I am very cautious about my body during this pregnancy, did anyone else have any spotting in the 7th week?
