Am i a bad person?

I am due March 12 with a girl. My second child,my son is 6, and my husbands first. Our families and friends are all asking to throw us a shower. My mom AND my bf suggested a diaper raffle. And my husbands bf just asked to throw a FTB party with the cover charge being a pack of diapers. My understanding from the previous posts and the shower board is that I/we should turn these offers down because they are all tacky. I'm sorry but who in their right mind would turn these offers down? I understand not throwing your own shower. Im not. And I'm not trying to be argumentative with ANYONE. But why am I a bad person for letting others do these things for us out of love/friendship?
