BFP! 4 weeks - gas, bloating and pains - is this normal?

Hi everyone,

 I am so excited - I just got a BFP today!  We have been trying since May, and in July I had to have surgery to remove ovarian tumours, cysts and endometriosis, so I am over the moon to get this BFP.  

This is my first baby.  For the past few days I have had TERRIBLE gas, gas pains, and a feeling of heaviness and bloating in my tummy.  I'm so bloated and heavy feeling that I actually thought that my period must be about to arrive, and that I couldn't be pregnant.

 Is it normal to have pains like this?  The gas is terrible - hope this doesn't stick around!
