He made it through surgery with no problems. The surgeon said it was a textboook case. We were able to be with him in the recovery room. It was such a shock seeing him. So swollen, dilated eyes, tubes everywhere and screaming from hunger-horrible!

We are now in his room. He can't eat for 1-2 days. They gave him some morphine and he is asleep on my lap now.

I hate this. It's the worst day of my life- seeing him in pain. At the same time I'm incredibly grateful that he is doing well and he's ok, strong vitals, etc.

I can't wait for this ordeal to be over.

Thanks for the T&Ps.Hopefully we can go home this week.
