2nd time around ....baby shower?!?!

This is a spin off of another thread that was posted, in which I was thinking about this all last night, but just now getting to post.

I am on baby #2. However, my first child is 7 years old. My friends are already making plans to have a shower later in my pregnancy.  I have heard and maybe even read somewhere that you only have showers for the first born. Is this true? Should I tell my friends don't worry about planning a shower?

 Just wondering......
