Nuk pump?

I have a few friend who had problems in the first few days and just gave up. I have been recommended to have a pump on hand, but I don't want to spend an arm and a leg on a pump that may not get used or be needed. I have researched bottles and decided we would get nuk to have on hand, so I also looked at their pump and read the reviews, it seemed people either loved it or hated it and it was about even. The nuk pump is one of the cheapest at about $50. Do you recommend the nuk pump? or a different brand that is around the same price range? Any advise would be great TIA
