Short sleeve onsies

LO was given lots of adorable short sleeve onesies as gifts an hand me downs. Now that it is cooler though, she is almost always in long sleeves. Some of the gifts I am sure I can exchange for larger sizes for when it is warmer again, but I guess I am wondering what you ladies are doing. Can you put long sleeves under? A little jacket over and then not really even be able to see the cute onsie?
