How do you tell?

K ate around 7:30pm and was down for the night by 8/8:30. She woke up at 1am but I wanted to see if I could hold her off with the paci. We played the paci game with her whining off and on until 4am when she actually cried and I fed her. She scarfed it down and passed out. Now I feel guilty that I held her off for so long. Those of you that have said the MOTN feedings were more of a habit than hunger, how could you tell? [Stokewifey, your FB status got me thinking more about this]
