17P or (17OHP): 17 hydroxy progesterone

45XO: Monosomy X or Turner's Syndrome

47XXY: Kleinfelter's Syndrome

AFI: Amniotic Fluid Index

APS: Anti Phospholipid Antibody Syndrome

ASA: Aspirin

BP: Blood Pressure

BPP: Biophysical Profile

BPP: Biophysical Profile

BR: Bed Rest

CVS:  Chorionic Villae Sampling

DM: Diabetes Mellitus

FVL: Factor 5 Leiden Mutation

GD: Gestational Diabetes

GTT: Glucose Tolerance Test

HBP: High Blood Pressure

HEG: Hyperemesis Gravidarum

HELLP: Hemolysis (the breakdown of red blood cells), Elevated Liver Enzymes, and Low Platelet Count Syndrome (a variant of severe pre eclampsia)

HR: High-Risk

HTN: Hypertension

IC: Incompetent Cervix

ICP: Intrahepatic Cholestasis of Pregnancy

IUGR: Intra Uterine Growth Restriction

MCA: Middle Cerebral Artery

MFM: Maternal Fetal Medicine or high-risk pregnancy specialist (aka perinatologist)

HUM: Home Uterine Monitoring

MTHFR: Methylene Tetra Hydro Folate Reductase Deficiency

AMA: Advanced Maternal Age

NPH: A form of long-acting insulin

NST: Non-stress Test

PPROM: Preterm Premature Rupture of Membranes

UA: (24 hour) urine analysis
