Intro and Question

After a few months of TTC, I got a BFP over the weekend.  My EDD is June 10.  I'm trying not to get too attached yet, since I know it's early and a lot can still go wrong, but I'm still really excited!

So here's my question.  I have my first pre-natal appointment with my OB next Tuesday.  Is this something I should bring my husband to?  I know I'll want him there for some appointments, like the first time we hear the heartbeat, and when we find out the gender, but since the first appointment has lots of technical stuff, and I've heard it's a lot longer than other appointments, I wasn't sure if it was normal for fathers-to-be to tag along.  

Anyone here bring your husband to your first appointment?  Is that something we should do?
