I feel so bad

I posted yesterday about flat head. I've been researching it more, and found out that I should have been turning LO's head to alternating positions when he is sleeping all along and not leaving him in the car seat nearly so long. To be fair to myself, our pedi said to leave him in the carseat or swing if he falls asleep there during the day when we were talking about sleeping issues at our 1 month appt, and he loves the car, so he has been in the car seat a lot. Why didn't I know these things? We took the newborn class, and no one has told me about them, even when our pedi talked to us about LO's flat head at our 2 month appt. She just said to really increase tummy time. I really hope we can correct this.
