Mother-in-law advice

Hi,

 

Just wondering if anyone has any  advice on how to deal with an overbearing MIL when it comes to pregnancy and kids?  

We have not had the best relationship over the years.  She kind of does what she wants and thinks that is her right, no matter what the situation.  Due to a few fairly recent rude and disrespectful incidents, I am already nervous and on edge.   My husband has gotten better as far as dealing with some of her inappropriate behavior, but overall has a hard time standing up for himself and me.  

If anyone has any tips, I would really appreciate them.  Thanks!
