Sleep strike

My little boy is on a sleep strike until he gets his way it seems.
He's had two twenty minute naps since 8:30 this morning, I'm at a loss of what to do. He wasn't fussy all day, all smiles actually, until about 8:30 this evening and now he's just a bit fussy.
He'll stay calm if I'm holding him or if I lay him on his tummy, which I know he loves.
My dilemmado I let him sleep on me, do I let him sleep on his tummy, or do I keep fighting it all night long in the hopes that he'll end his going on 14 hours sleep strike? He's gotta get tired sometime right??!
