Toys before Christmas?

I feel like LO, and myself, are getting bored with his toys. He has his play mat either songs and hanging things, bumbo, swing, bouncer and other small toys that make noise but he can't play with himself. He tolerate the swing and bouncer for small periods. We sing and dance but I can't help but think he is bored.

Are you going to buy any larger toys ie saucer or balls prior to Christmas? I don't want to get him to much now and then be overloaded but can't imagine us lasting 3 more months.
