Snowsuit?

My mother wants to get DS a snowsuit. She said she found one of those one piece ones for babies and plans on getting it for him. I told her I didn't think he needed one this year, it isn't like he is going to go outside any play. Also, I know you aren't supposed to have them wear the suits while in the car seat, so why and when would DS need a snowsuit. Does anyone plan on getting their LO a snowsuit this year? Do we need one?
