safety question

I was wondering about using certain chemicals while pregnant. In particular the ones in flea shampoo. My 2 cats are due for a bath but was wondering if whatever is in fleas shampoo absorbs into the skin. It may seem silly but I have previsously had 3 m/c, so I want to be extra careful
