3rd beta test?

On 23 days after LMP, I had a BFN. On 24 days, I had bleeding that was more than typical for implantation bleeding. At 28 days, I had a BFP. Because of the bleeding, my OB asked me to get a blood test this past Monday day 30 and another on Wed to confirm I was pregnant and that my hcG was rising. My numbers were 109 and 278, well within "pregnant and rising" range. My doc order me to go again tomorrow for a 3rd test. From what I've read, the first 2 are routine, but has anyone been asked for 3? I was told they want to make sure it continues to rise. Why wouldn't it?
