Ughh. Low hcg/possible miscarriage... please read.

I just want some advice from fellow readers.

Soooo took 5 HPT Thursday/Friday of last week.

Monday had sex with my husband.

Monday started to bleed (with clots)

Tuesday called the doctors office. Got in around 2:00 pm. Had a pelvic exam. Doctor said she was a pessimist and thinks I was having a miscarriage. She had me do blood work. My hcg she said was 23 units? Or something like that.

Yesterday went back and had more blood work. My hcg went up 2 units. Normally it should double.

My bleeding is almost non-existent.

I am having more blood work drawn tomorrow and I asked for a progesterone test. On Monday I have an ultrasound and a appt with my doctor.

 I was grieving on Tuesday/Wednesday because I assumed my doctor was right about miscarrying. Now of course I don't have much hope in this situation but I'm wondering if anyone else has been in a situation like this.

 She told me it could be anything from a miscarriage to a ectopic pregnancy to a wayy to early pregnancy to a miscarriage with some tissue left behind.
