I teach middle school and no matter how hard I try not to be, I'm on my feet most of the day. Since my last birth class (all about labor) I'm petrified to go into labor at work. I know the whole process takes hours, but the whole logistics of it is making me nervous. My plan is to call the OB and head home (somehow) once my contractions become regular. However that means either making my coworker and best friend at work drive me home, so two teachers need coverage or waiting about 20 minutes for my husband or mother to come pick me up, all the time being in labor in the nurse's office.
I'm sure it will work out, but I can't help worrying about it.
