How Many to Invite to Baby Shower

So... I sat down and started my guest list for the baby shower. Of those I'd expect to attend (live in the area), the list is about 70 people - 70!!

Does anyone else have a guest list this large? I feel lucky and kinda scared at the same time. We're looking at having the party at a local country club ($11/head). Cheap, elegant, and room for parking for that many people.
