I got insulin!!!

Sorry to share my ongoing GD drama, but I am excited right now. I had questioned the glyburide, since everything I found (including the packet of info in the glyburide) said that insulin was preferred in pregnancy. I called my OB, was told over the phone to start it, then said I want an appt to talk to the dr. Went in yesterday, OB said I needed to start it, it was safe, and she preferred this to insulin.

Went to my diabetes clinic for my check up today and asked them. They said if I had no fear of needles, and was comfortable with shots (ummm..yeah, got that figured out already!) then they would recommend insulin since it has a longer proven safety use. They called my OB. My prescription for novolin has been called in!!! Never thought I would be excited about more shots, but I am!! I feel much more comfortable with  this than the oral med!
