Nesting.Away

Today I shared the news that I am pregnant with twins to 2 of my co-workers who had been there some after we lost Sophia, and I had always been close with. I "thought" they would be happy and thrilled for us.... I wasn't expecting the reaction I got. Maybe I am the stupid one.

One was rushing out, and the other said, "Oh, she has breakfast duty". I replied, "I have babies". It took a minute for them to realize what I said, but they then jumped up and hugged me. 

The next thing is what got me. Out of my older, close to retirement co-worker, I got "You haven't told many people, have you? When I got pregnant, I told  everyone with a cake in the teacher's lounge and 2 weeks later lost the baby".

Nice and positive, huh? I was so upset. I just basically said I didn't want to think that way and walked away. Floored might be the word for it. *sigh*
