Excuse at social function during 1st trimester??

I really haven't told many ppl about my IF and my pregnancy even with some of my good friends.

There are a lots of events such as birthdays, grill-out, movie nights, girls nights, etc and it's tough to come up with excuses why I am not drinking esp. I usually would never turn down a drink.  

My preg friend used "anti-biotic" and "lent".  If someone asks, I am thinking to say "Well, we are in TTC and I heard drinking is bad, so I quit"  What is / was your excuse until you make an preg announcement?   

P.s.  I thought it would be so difficult to give up alcohol because I was enjoying a glass of wine pretty much everyday before my IVF cycle, but I don't even have any craving for drinks, so I am glad!!
