A$$ kissing or sweet? Re gifts for teachers the first week of school.

I really want to get some crafting in. I kind of want to make gifts for Allie's teacher and assistant, but don't want to come off as a$$ kissing. I have some really cute buckets from Ikea I was going to fill with different goodies. (note pads, Kleenex, paper clips, pens, ect.) what do you ladies think?
