Macrobid for UTI?

I need some assurance here ladies - I had some symptoms of a UTI over the weekend. But then again I was doubting myself because obviously 2 babies pressing on your bladder can cause frequency as well.

I went into my doctor's office this morning at the request of the nurse. I did a urine culture, but to be safe, they are having me start on Macrobid today as a precaution. The nurse said it's better to take this class B med than let an infection fester. Can some of you ladies just give me peace of mind that this is normal? I haven't even taken a Tylenol since getting pregnant so I'm just a little concerned....
