Does anyone have any idea what all this entails? I looked here: http://www.healthcare.gov/law/resources/regulations/womensprevention.html
And this is all I could find...
Breastfeeding support, supplies, and counseling. | Comprehensive lactation support and counseling, by a trained provider during pregnancy and/or in the postpartum period, and costs for renting breastfeeding equipment. | In conjunction with each birth. |
The reason I ask is because I called both mine and MH insurance companies about a week ago asking if we had any breast feeding coverange. I was told by both that we didn't have any coverage unless it was "medically necessary." Meaning only if I was released from the hospital before the baby and would have to send my milk to the hospital for feedings. I was told that pumping after returning to work was considered a "convenience." I was livid so I rudely asked them if they truly would rather have babies be formula fed than to receive breast milk. I was completely shocked. Then I saw a post on another board about ObamaCare.
Please share with me what you know regarding this and insurance companies.
