Discharge/fluid from stitches?

I already called my Dr but I'm a FTM and paranoid. I've noticed starting yesterday some yellow ish orange-ish drainage from my stitches. Two of my nurses recommended putting a pad across the stitches to absorb sweat and moisture so at first I thought it was just coming from my vag (sorry if tmi) and somehow got up on the pad by my stitches but today I noticed it was definitely from my stitches. My nurse told me to keep the area dry and to monitor it and to call back tomorrow. It isn't any extra tender and I'm not running a fever but I'm just nervous it's an infection. Anyone else have this?
