Feeling Baby Move?

I am extremely baffled about this. I had my first appointment at 6.5 weeks for routine blood draw and paperwork, and during the "question and answer" session the nurse asked if I've felt baby move yet. I probably looked at her with the weirdest face because I knew I was about 6 weeks, and said no.

Two days ago I had my first ultrasound at 8 weeks 2 days and the nurse who took my weight and blood pressure, again, asked if I've felt the baby move yet! Again, I hesitated with confusion and said no.

I don't know why they'd be asking me this? Any thoughts?
