lots of symptoms but BFN. Advice, please!

Question for more experienced ladies out there....SO, I've been on birth control, but while on an antibiotic for a sinus infection, DH and I did not use any extra contraceptive.  It just so happens that this was during the week I would have ovulated.  AF was due yesterday and still isn't here.  Also, I'm NEVER late.  I'm having lots of pregnancy symptoms (nausea, back pain, cramping, sensitive to lots of smells, heartburn, frequent urination) but tests are still BFN.  Although it was not in the plans, DH and I would be thrilled to get a BFN.  Should I go to the doctor and get checked or just wait a few days and test again?  Waiting is driving me crazy!
