Baby Names vs Pet Names

I saw a post over on the baby names board and thought it was really interesting to see everyones different naming styles. The question is, what makes the difference between naming your babies and naming your fur babies?

I guess I'll start... I tend to shy away from traditional names because the ones I like end up on the top 10 list and I want to go a more individual route. I don't know exactly what makes the defined difference for me. I think there is a slightly more realistic tone to my baby names (I said Slightly... no yelling at me, lol!)  whereas my pets names can be anything I like the sound of and what seems to stick with their personality.
