First internal and... (a little TMI)

Owie!  I'm 2 cm, 80% effaced, and baby is at -2.  Even though I don't believe it's a good indicator of when I'll go into labor, I do feel more encouraged than I would have if she had said I was closed.  One thing she did say though, is that the baby is posterior - anyone know what that means?  She showed me on a diagram that she had to bend her fingers toward my belly button to get in there, rather than going straight in.  But does that mean anything?
