My son started doing this a couple of days ago. I'll be sitting on the couch and he's distraught about something (because my two year old has a hard life when his sippy isn't full and a snack isn't in his hand) He says, "Mommy." I don't answer. "Mommy!" I don't answer. "MOMMY!" And he takes his little hand, puts it under my chin, makes me look him in the eye and says something like, "I want a cookie." Very, very serious like.
