When hear heartbeat?

Is there anyone else out there that has already had their first appointment, but didn't get to hear the heartbeat?  Apparently at my doctor's office they don't listen to the heartbeat until after 10w and I was 9w exactly when I went in.  We did get a transvaginal u/s though and got to SEE the heart beating, so that made me feel a little better.  I even have a picture from last week's appointment .

 

 

 

Just makes me nervous since I see so many of you posting about hearing it at 6w, 7w, etc. and I haven't heard mine yet.
