BFP after very low beta???

I had my first beta at 12dp3dt , yesterday. When the RN called with the results she said, "the results show that your pregnant." I was so happy! Then she went on to say that my beta was 12. She did not make it sound like it is a low number, but I know that it is =( I go back tomorrow morning (Thursday) for a second beta. 

Anyone have (I guess I should say 'keep') BFP results after such a low beta? I have not POS, but since it is below 25 it probably would show as a negative.....
