Hi, I'm a lurker from TTCAL and the IF board and wanted some advice for myself and success stories for a friend who is doing IVF.

First of all, she's upset at the news she got today and I wanted to send her some encouraging stories but would that be rude? I mean, I know I don't like it when people end up making things worse by saying things like, "Oh I know a girl who had 10 miscarriages and now she's got a baby!" and I certainly do not want to be one of those idiots! Nor do I want to give false hope.

Long story short her egg transfer (day 3 transfer) was earlier today. They had 3 eggs to fertilize. She was told they were not top quality. One is 5-cell, another is 4-cell and the third is only 2 cell. They transferred the 5 and 4 cell and are watching the last one to see if it can make it to freeze.

Did anyone experience anything similar that had success? I really don't want her to lose hope! TIA!
