To mini crib or not to mini crib

Ladies,

I am a bit of a lurker so I suppose that the re-introduction is in order. H and I in our early thirties and we started talking about TTC next year. 

 Here is my question. We are going to be in a relatively small space for a while (truly having a 2BR place is a first world problem) so I am seriously considering a Davinci Kalani mini crib. In addition to that, I am not sure that the kid will need more than a twin bed when they grow up. Kalani mini crib converts to just that where as the full crib coverts to a full bed. 

 Any thoughts on pros/cons? Is mini crib bedding difficult to find?

Since we don't have much family and can't (and shouldn't) expect to have a lot stuff gifted to us, I decided to start getting things in advance which makes my husband look at me like I am a loon.
